We Stand #WithSyria
March 15 marked the third anniversary of the Syria crisis. As an official sponsor of the #WithSyria campaign, InterAction joined with our members and millions of other people and organizations across the globe to shed light on the desperate situation and to ask for immediate and unfettered access for humanitarian aid to protect the millions of children and families now under siege.
InterAction members are integral to the response effort, helping relieve the suffering of Syrian people. But humanitarian access in Syria has become ever more precarious and assaults on humanitarian workers have continued unabated.
"We commit to doing everything we can to ensure that the people of Syria do not lose another year to bloodshed and suffering. We stand with the people of Syria, and people around the world, in calling for our leaders to make the same commitment."

The situation in Syria is fast deteriorating as violence intensifies and fighting continues throughout the country. More than 9 million Syrians are in urgent need of assistance, two-thirds of them inside Syria. In besieged towns, families are experiencing hunger and severe levels of malnutrition. More than 100,000 people have been killed. Lack of protection marks the conflict, with troubling reports of abuse against women and children, including rape. About half of those suffering are children.
