NGO Consortium in Horn of Africa Proves Critical to Humanitarian Efforts

Djiboutian students participate in a learning activity as U.S. Soldiers from Charlie Company, 443rd Civil Affairs Battalion deployed to Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), teach English lessons March 9, 2018 in Obock, Djibouti. Through key leader engagements and English discussion groups, the civil affairs team works to further improve relations between the local national populace and U.S. forces, develop a greater understanding of the Tadjoura and Obock regions, fill information gaps, coordinate future missions and maintain access to key areas.
