---

The Conference on Housing, Land, and Property (HLP) in Crisis Contexts: A Dialogue on Community and Collective HLP Rights, aims to explore innovative and community-driven solutions to securing land rights, particularly in the context of the displacement crisis. The discussions aim to highlight how collective action around HLP rights plays a role in increasing resilience to disasters and conflict and supporting communities recovering from crises.

The dialogue will be accompanied with a field visit to some of Puerto Rico’s Community Land Trusts (CLTs) to meet with and learn from leaders and community members who will share how they established the CLTs and how this type of tenure has made them more resilient to hurricanes and other disasters.

We welcome attendees who wish to simply learn from the dialogue and the field visits as well as those who wish to contribute their own experiences and learning through presentations or workshops. Sessions will be held both in English and Spanish, with simultaneous translation provided.

Organizing Committee: Habitat for Humanity, HLP AoR of the Global Protection Cluster, Howard University, InterAction, IOM, Norwegian Refugee Council, University of Puerto Rico, USAID/BHA, and Verent Solutions.
