MIIS-InterAction Scholarship

InterAction has forged a partnership with the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS) to offer a $25,000 scholarship to staff of InterAction member organizations who are admitted to a MIIS degree program.

The Middlebury Institute of International Studies (MIIS) at Monterey is an academic community committed to preparing students for professional roles in cross-cultural, multilingual environments. The Middlebury Institute educates professionals to advance understanding, promote peace, and drive change in pursuit of a more just world. Its graduates have meaningful careers in international affairs, human security, trade and diplomacy, environmental policy.

As part of this partnership, MIIS has also waived the application fee for staff members currently working for an InterAction member or partner organization.

InterAction is also excited to announce the graduation of two MIIS/InterAction scholarship recipients:  A staffer from Save the Children and another staffer from Relief International.

The MIIS-InterAction Scholarship Program is administered by the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.

To apply for the scholarship program, staff currently working for an InterAction member or partner organization should submit an application for one of the Middlebury Institute’s degree programs by the next priority deadline. When applying for admission to the Middlebury Institute, applicants for the MIIS-InterAction Scholarship Program should:

  • Indicate their affiliation with InterAction when prompted in the online application;
  • Upload a separate statement describing their affiliation with an InterAction member or partner within the online application; and
  • Note their total amount of work experience (in years) in both their resume and statement about their affiliation with InterAction. Please note that two years of work experience in the development field is preferred for MIIS admission.

Staff of InterAction’s member and partner organizations may waive their MIIS admission application fee at go.miis.edu/partner. Applicants also may also receive additional merit and need-based scholarships depending on the strength of their application or financial situation.
