InterAction Statement on the Passing of Senator Lindsey Graham

We are saddened by the news of Senator Lindsey Graham’s passing. For decades, Senator Graham was a strong champion for global health, humanitarian assistance, and international development.

Through his leadership on the State and Foreign Operations Appropriations Subcommittee and his commitment to understanding the impact of U.S. assistance firsthand, he helped shape policies that saved and improved millions of lives around the world.

He led numerous bipartisan congressional delegations to witness how American investments support effective programs, advance U.S. interests, and reflect our nation’s values.

His legacy will endure in stronger health systems, more resilient communities, and the countless lives touched by programs he supported.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of working alongside him during his many years of public service.
