Recent trends show that Colombians fleeing their homes to escape violence are seeking safety in urban areas of all sizes, ranging from major cities like Bogotá to small municipalities. As newly displaced people arrive, mid-sized cities like Popayán and Florencia are struggling to provide enough resources for critical humanitarian interventions like food assistance and housing.
InterAction, the largest U.S.-based alliance of international NGOs, today announced two key additions to its Executive Team under the leadership of President and CEO, Tom Hart. Lisa Bos has been appointed as the new Vice President for Global Development Policy, Advocacy, and Learning. Morgan Martinez has been promoted to Vice President for Membership, Communications, and Public Engagement.
On June 26 and 27, over 240 leaders and innovators in the global development and humanitarian community gathered for InterAction’s flagship annual event, Forum, at Convene in downtown Washington, D.C.
